    The first concentric circles are like looking at the waves from above. The light diffraction is easily understood because it looks as if you threw a pebble into a pond., then maybe a second and a third, to make different sets of concentric circles of waves. In this case it is actually light waves rather than water waves or sound waves. The wave similarity between sound and light, between music and visual art has come to be a focus of mine.
